Sea dragons, sea horses, and pipefish are the only species on earth whose males experience pregnancy and give birth. For the first time since bringing sea dragons to the Birch Aquarium in 1996, a female sea dragon has transferred a large number of eggs to a male. The male sea dragon is now carrying about 100 bright pink eggs in his brood pooch near his tail.
